On 3 June 2016, Immigration Australia announced changes to the South Australian Nomination List (SNOL). Immigration Australia will launch a revised SNOL with changes to occupation, the points system, English language requirements, and work experience.
Revised SNOL will be published on 4 July anytime by 12 pm Australian time.
Revised criteria for ICT professionals
According to the new criteria, ICT professionals applying for offshore applications must score a minimum of 70 points, including state sponsorship points, as per the DIBP point system.
190 and 489 categories are temporarily blocked from accepting applications
Due to new changes to be implemented in SNOL, there is a temporary block on accepting applications under the 190 and 489 subclasses on 30 June 2016. Applications that are not submitted and paid by 30 June will be automatically deleted.
Hence, review all conditions and criteria carefully before applying for the SA nomination visa.
489 Subclass Visa
The Skilled Regional (Subclass 489) visa is for individuals who wish to live and work in a specific designated area and territory of Australia. This Visa is valid for 4 years. To apply under the 489 subclass, you should either be nominated by the Australian state or territory or your eligible blood relative.
As soon as the revised rules are applicable, applications will be accepted.
