• The candidate will then need to create their Expression of Interest (EOI) on the online SkillSelect system.
• The candidate will then need to wait to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for the visa.

Processing Time

The general processing time for most candidates is 6 months. This time can also extend up to 10 months, depending on the circumstances.

What is an Expression of Interest (EOI)

The Expression of Interest (EOI) provides the Australian immigration authorities with your basic information, which includes your educational, professional and personal details.

Your EOI lasts for two years, which means that your EOI will remain with the Australian immigration authority for two years.

People willing to apply for the Skilled Independent Visa must submit an EOI, taking into account that they are below the age of 45.
