Australian Capital Territory (ACT) Occupation List last updated on 5th July 2017, is informed by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection ‘List of Eligible Skilled Occupations’ as given below. ACT Occupation List will be updated on a regular basis and it will be reassessed in February 2018.
The ACT government targets skilled migrants and provides some advice on ACT nomination criteria. Below is the table that lists all the available and closed occupations on the ACT occupation list. The ACT occupation listing corresponds to the skills that are in demand in Canberra (for skilled migrants). The ACT occupation list selects applications that are in the Skilled Nominated Visa program and Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme that fulfilling the requirements of ACT.
The ACT occupation List will be updated regularly which would actively reflect the required skill demand in Canberra. Once the demand for a particular skill-set has been met, the occupation on the occupation list will be closed.
