The Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream is for skilled workers willing to work & live in Ontario. This stream is quite popular compared to other Ontario PNP streams and allows the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) authorities to nominate Express Entry qualified candidates who also meet other requirements of education, language ability, skilled work experience etc., as required under this stream.
Check if you Qualify…
You are required to meet the federal and provincial eligibility criteria in order to be eligible under Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream. There are some specific requirements that must be essentially met in order to qualify under this stream. For this, you must –
- Have a legitimate Express Entry profile
- Demonstrate interest in immigrating to Ontario while creating Express Entry profile
- Qualify for either Canadian Experience Class (CEC) or Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
NOTE: You will have the leverage to select the federal program (whether CEC or FSWP) against which you want your application to be assessed
- Obtain Notification of Interest (NOI) issued from Ontario
It must be mentioned that just receiving NOI doesn’t qualify you under Ontario Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream. However, if you do receive NOI, you have 45 days available to apply under this stream.
Ontario Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream Eligibility Criteria…
Following provincial criteria must be met necessarily in order to qualify under Human Capital Priorities Stream –
- Work Experience Required: If applying under –
- Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) – Minimum 1 year in past 5 years
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC) – Minimum 1 year in past 3 years
- Education should be equivalent of a Canadian degree or above
- Minimum CLB 7 in English/French
- Minimum 400 points CRS score
- Must have adequate settlement funds to settle & support family members in Ontario
- Must have intent to live in Ontario
- Must have proper legal status in Canada
