As per the latest draw that took place on September 27 2016, a total of 647 candidates have been issued an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Immigration to Canada through the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP).
Many international graduates and entrepreneurs are now eligible to apply for a provincial nomination certificate to the BC PNP. Afterwards, they will be in a position to apply to the federal government for permanent residential status.
The majority of Invitations were issued to the candidates from the BC PNP Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) categories. In contrast, the remaining ITAs were issued in relation to the Entrepreneur Immigration stream.
SIRS is a points-based system that prioritises candidates for provincial nomination based on their score, calculated using the skills and information provided during registration. The score is the determining factor whether a candidate receives an ITA whenever a draw is executed.
