Saskatchewan Skilled Worker Immigration Category invites 300 New Applications

The International Skilled Worker Programme (ISWP) Immigration Category under the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) has been reopened to accept 300 applications.  Applicants must have registered with the Express Entry System when they apply for the Skilled Worker Program.

All eligible individuals already in the Express Entry Pool of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) may apply for a provincial nomination certificate from Saskatchewan.

The provincial nomination certificate through the Express Entry Skilled Worker Immigration Category awards candidates 600 additional points under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).

Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program targets prospective immigrants who possess the skills, experience, and education, as well as the language ability, to establish and integrate into the labour market and meet community needs.

Under the International Skilled Worker – Occupations In-Demand sub-category, skilled workers who do not yet hold an employment offer but are highly experienced in an occupation that is in demand in Saskatchewan may be eligible to apply for nomination by the SINP.

Candidates must score a minimum of 60 points on the SINP point assessment system, and they must be eligible for one of the following three federal economic immigration programs –

  • Federal Skilled Worker
  • Federal Skilled Trades
  • Canadian Experience Class
